Nemmers Prize in Mathematics

Northwestern University invites nominations for the Frederic Esser Nemmers Prize in Mathematics, which will be awarded during the 2019-2020 academic year. The Prize includes payment to the recipient of $200,000.

Criteria: Candidacy is open to those with careers of outstanding achievement in their discipline as demonstrated by major contributions to new knowledge or the development of significant new modes of analysis. Individuals of all nationalities and institutional affiliations are eligible except current or recent members of the Northwestern University faculty and recipients of the Nobel Prize. The 2020 recipients of all Nemmers Prizes will deliver a public lecture and participate in other scholarly activities at Northwestern University for 10 weeks during the 2020-21 academic year.

Deadline: December 1, 2019.

Nomination Process: Nominators are required to fill out the form below, which includes submission of one nominating letter of no more than 1000 words and the nominee’s cv. The letter should describe the nominee’s professional experience, accomplishments, and qualifications for the award. Nominations from experts in the field are preferred to institutional nominations; self-nominations will not be accepted.
